My name is Heather,
I’m a 34 year old, self-taught photographer since the age of 18, avid hiker, kayaker, nature lover and proud dog-mom. If I'm not roaming around with a camera in hand then I am most definitely either reading a good book or scouting out new photography locations.
...
Since the beginning, I’ve always had a love for photography — it started back in high school when I took my first photo class. I instantly fell in love with the entire process: capturing the moment, developing film in the darkroom, and watching the image slowly come to life. The photos I took then were impulsive. Without hesitation, without previewing or posing—imperfectly perfect and completely true. Since then, I’ve spent over a decade growing in my craft, chasing that same feeling.
Today, my work blends two things I hold dear—candid moments and my love for nature. I specialize in outdoor portraiture with a focus on natural and mostly unposed moments. Whether I’m photographing local wildlife, seniors laughing in a pasture, families running barefoot through the woods, or just quiet brisk mornings on a cattle ranch... my focus remains the same: I aim to capture the kind of moments that feel—laid-back, naturally a little messy, yet beautifully meaningful.
Looking ahead, my goal is to keep growing—both as an artist and as a storyteller. I hope to explore more of the forgotten, beautiful spaces tucked across Texas and beyond, connect with people who value presence over perfection, and continue documenting life as it really feels. I’d love to offer more travel sessions and eventually create a printed collection of the places and faces that have moved me most.
